Em Gilliam is a storyteller and illustrator with a strong inner-child and a pervasive sense of play. After attending Middlebury College in Vermont and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she spent a decade in the toy and game industry, creating table top games with licenses like Discovery, Scholastic, Sesame Street, and Warner Bros. Now she writes and illustrates picture books, which aren't that different than games--they should both take you on a fun-filled, colorful adventure.

Em grew up in Spokane, WA, and lives in Tucson, AZ with her husband, two dogs, a cat, and a desert tortoise named Tofu.
